What are SOPA and PIPA? This is all because of two pieces of legislation: the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House and its Senate companion bill, the Protect IP Act (PIPA). The purpose of these bills is to make it harder for sites — especially those located outside the United States — to sell or distribute pirated copyrighted material such as movies and music as well as physical goods such as counterfeit purses and watches. Even most of SOPA and PIPA’s strongest opponents applaud the intentions of the legislation while deploring what it might actually accomplish.
This bill allows the USA goverment to take control of our freedom. Their have the power to stop any websites from being accessed. This will also allow companies which some started the whole "privacey made easy" job to sue any body that downloads a single torrent OR anywebsites that links to a torrented website. This means for people like google which use spider bot and other web clawers to get websites onto their search engine could also be sued AND shut down. Facebook will be shut down if 1 person uploads a image/music or a video, or even linking to a copyright infringement content. Lastly NO more youtube, as 99% of youtube videos have music or video footage then by this law their will be shut down.

We cant let any bill pass, once their have a base it will only get worst.We do not support privacy but the way these bills are heading is going to destroy file hosting servers. We do agree something needs to be done for copyright infringement but the LAW is already their. Going though proper legal system and going to court. A website owner should not be sued for linking to a site. Nor should a file hosting websites get sued. The only way that people will agree to is punishing to person that UPLOADS THE CONTENT or SEED the content for more than 24 hours. So keep up the e-mails and protest. We want a FREE internet
